People are fed up. Years of austerity have meant cutting back on the better things in life, such as holidays and eating out. A trip to the Seychelles may be just the ticket, but, much as we’d like to, I’m afraid we can’t help with that one. What we can do, though, is give you a little taste of luxury that won’t max out your overdraft.
Artisanal food is one of the nicest and easiest ways to treat yourself to something special. Not only is it affordable, it’s a simple and regular way to add luxury and quality to your life. If you’re not sure what’s meant by artisanal food, it’s simply food made by hand using traditional methods.
Taunton Farmers Market have that. In fact, we have lots of it.
Whether it’s squidgy, stinky cheese; crusty bread full of fluffy goodness, rich, deep-flavoured beer or wine, jams and chutneys bursting with flavour, authentic italian olives and antipasti, charcuterie (cured meats) or a host of home-grown/raised vegetables, fruits and fresh meats, we have it.
For an infinitesimal fraction of the cost of a trip to the Seychelles, you can have it, too – every Thursday at the High Street in Taunton.
It doesn’t stop there. If you’re entertaining, we can help. We have chefs who create restaurant-standard ready meals, and we won’t tell your guests you didn’t make it yourself if you don’t. Got a coffee morning to organise? There are hand-baked pastries, pies and cakes to get your mouth watering.
So, as a delicious plunge into the balmy waters of luxury, you can’t beat artisinal food. Even better? It’s local.
